PRIMROSE BAKERY, COVENT GARDEN

I had to dedicate a whole post about how lovely the Primrose Bakery store is in Covent Garden, plus I have too many cute photos of the store that I can't not share. It's the most photogenic store/bakery I've been in, it's so beautiful and so peaceful to just sit there and stuff your face with cakes and hot chocolate. We went for breakfast there on both days, I mean if there's anywhere you go and treat yourself to cake for breakfast it's Primrose Bakery.
I'm in love with the interior, it's so cute and full of spring pastel coloured chairs and beautiful decorative paper lanterns, they also have a few stationary bits on sale, as well as some beautiful handmade cards. If you live in London and are looking for birthday cupcakes, look no further - they do huge boxes of cupcakes for pretty reasonable prices and sell such pretty birthday candles and cards so you have everything you need right there! This kind of sounds like an advert, but I swear I just love cakes and Primrose Bakery! The main reason I wanted to go there was because A: I love cake & B: I have one of their recipe books 'Cupcakes from the Primrose Bakery' and they have some great recipes so it's nice to be able to go to the place it all happens, so to speak.
On the first day I decided to go for a simple vanilla cupcake topped with lovely lilac vanilla icing and to match I got the biggest hot chocolate. I'm really regretting not buying a box of 16 cupcakes to take back home with me because they're so good and now I'm craving one! Obviously the one cupcake wasn't enough so on the second day I got the salted caramel cupcake which was my favourite out of the two mainly because of the salted caramel icing and the crunchy caramel toppings.
I hope after reading this your all craving cupcakes! If you live in London I recommend running to your closest Primrose Bakery, if you don't live in London then you'll simply have to organise a trip to London just to go to Primrose Bakery and to eat all of their cakes!

Keep an eye out for the London - Day 2 post!

LONDON - DAY 1

At the beginning of the month I went to London for a long weekend so I thought I would do a few posts about what I got up to, and it could give some of you a few ideas of places to visit if you're going to London anytime soon. The first place I went to was of course Covent Garden, it's so lovely and the main reason I went was purely to go to the new Charlotte Tilbury store! It's such a beautiful store and I just wanted to buy everything, I've already done a Charlotte Tilbury post & haul - so if you haven't seen it, I will link it down below!
We also stopped for a little break at Primrose Bakery, Covent Garden for one of their beautiful cupcakes. I have been to the Primrose Bakery in Knightsbridge before, but this store is slightly better because it's a bigger store and in such a lovely location. I did take full advantage of the beautiful interior and took about a dozen photos so I've decided to do a separate post dedicated to the loveliness of Primrose Bakery, it will be up soon so keep an eye out!
The first day was our chill out day/go for a wander day, so we decided to pop to the Saatchi Gallery which I'd never been to before. It's in such a pretty location on King's Road, Chelsea, it's free admission and a great building, lovely to wander around and have a nosey at all the lovely art work. I will definitely be going back there hopefully when I'm back in London in April and June, if your not sure what to do or where to go in London it's definitely an idea and worth a look and not to mention they have a great gift shop where I treated myself and my mum to a lovely Basquiat print.
We went for a nice, quite cold walk through Chelsea where I now wish I lived and I was hoping to miraculously bump into some of the cast of Made in Chelsea, preferably Lucy Watson or Jamie Laing but unfortunately & obviously that didn't happen. It's such a lovely area with pretty little streets filled with cute perfect looking houses, which are great for blog/instagram photos, so of course I took advantage of this!
Keep a lookout for the Primrose Bakery post coming soon as well as the London - Day 2 post!

CHARLOTTE TILBURY, COVENT GARDEN

Of course going to London I couldn't not go to the new Charlotte Tilbury Covent Garden store, it's so pretty and it's hard to not buy anything so obviously I had to pick up a few things. First I just want to talk a bit about the actual store because it's so pretty, when you walk in your just overwhelmed by all the amazing Charlotte Tilbury products and it's no wonder people walk out with half the store. The store is so easy to find, if you take the tube to Covent Garden, it's literally the first thing you see when you come out of the station, I was beyond excited when I spotted it and pretty much ran straight to into it!
Her store is so beautiful and glamorous with the prettiest interior details, I could have stayed in that store forever! The staff were so helpful and friendly, and really made the whole experience even better. If you haven't already been and you live in London or are visiting some time soon you need to make sure you go to the Charlotte Tilbury store! I will definitely be going back soon, possibly when I go to London in April and June.
There are so many more products on my wishlist now, mainly consisting of all her lipsticks! They're such great quality and she has some amazing shades in her collection, I really want to treat myself to Between the Sheets, Bond Girl and also Stoned Rose. I also have had my eye on some of her eyeshadow palettes for a while now but I might hold off until my birthday comes up in the summer and fingers crossed my mum got some of my hints. If you have any recommendations or just want to share your favourite Charlotte Tilbury products, please comment down below.
The first product I ran straight for was the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Foundation, this has been on my wishlist for so long but there's no way I could have ordered this without getting my shade matched because there's about 15 shades which is amazing but difficult to choose the right shade. I picked up the shade 3 fair because I wanted it pretty much to match my skin tone perfectly but I might have to go back and pick up a darker shade for when summer gets here because I do tan a little and would need a darker shade. I haven't used this enough to give a full review yet or to say it's magic, I've used it once and only used a little just to see what it was like. Although I only used a little amount on my skin it was great coverage and a little does go along way, well that's what I found. To be honest I don't need a whole lot of coverage but I wanted to try this because I get a bit of redness especially around my T zone and it did cover the redness so I'm especially happy that I picked it up now.

I also picked up a Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in the shade Very Victoria which again has been on my list for too long, this is a lovely brown, nude lipstick and works really well for an everyday look. I love the Matte Revolution lipsticks, they're possibly my favourite matte lipsticks just because they apply so well and don't dry your lips out and pretty much stay on all day. The only thing I do slightly regret is not getting a lip liner to match this, not because of anything to do with the formula of the lipstick just because I have been using lip liners much more and I don't have a lip liner to match this so I might have to order it soon. The last item I picked up was her 1st Edition Makeup bag, which is the white canvas makeup bag with red lipstick prints over the front of the bag with of course the CT initials in gold. This was only £15 which I think is quite reasonable for a makeup bag, I purely picked this up because I only have small makeup bags and this looks like it could fit a whole lot of products in and obviously because of how cute it is!

I hope you enjoyed this post, keep an eye out for more London posts coming soon!

FEBRUARY FAVOURITES

This year is already going too fast, I can't believe it's time for my February Favourites already although this is quite a late February Favourites bearing in mind it's the 10th of March - my first favourite is a lip favourite, it's the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in the shade Double Dare. I'm in love with this lipstick it's the best liquid lipstick I've tried and this shade is beautiful, it's a lovely coral pink colour and is perfect for Spring! I also have the shade Lolita and that's another lovely nude, brown shade, the formula of these liquid  lipsticks are great, they dry completely matte and don't smudge once dried - if your ever in Sephora or ordering online you definitely need to pick some of these up! A lip liner favourite to match is the Kiko Intensely Lavish lip liner (01), this is the perfect colour to match Double Dare and I find wearing liquid lipsticks is much easier when you have lip liner on and are much easier to apply.
Of course one favourite lipstick product wasn't enough, my second favourite lipstick this month is probably an on going current favourite it's the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution lipstick in Sexy Sienna. This always pops up in a few monthly favourites but for good reasons, of course by now we all know how great the Charlotte Tilbury products are including her beautiful lipsticks so there's no need to ramble on for centuries...but this shade has to be my favourite, it's a lovely peach, coral shade and again perfect for Spring and for brightening up your face and is a great matte lipstick. If your looking for a new Charlotte Tilbury lipstick shade or just want to treat yourself you should consider having a look at this shade because guaranteed you'll love it! Another favourite is a product that is a great match for this lipstick it's the Topshop Cream Blush in Head Over Heels, this is a lovely bight coral colour that looks great blended in for a more natural rosy cheek. I don't have that many of Topshop's beauty products and I definitely need to have a little look next time I'm in store because they have some great products, one great example would be the Topshop Glow Highlighter in Polished. I wasn't a fan of cream highlighters before I used this but this product has converted me because it's so lovely, easy to apply and lasts pretty much all day and really gives that lovely natural glow and is such a great product for the price.
A perfume favourite this month is YSL's Black Opium Eau de Toilette which is a lovely fresh, musky scent that I've been wearing non-stop this month. I don't usually like musky scents like this and I do find it quite a masculine scent but the floral scents in it make it more feminine not to mention the lovely packaging. I always get compliments whenever I wear this, it's a lovely subtle scent that lasts all day and I may need to start slowing down on how much I use this because I dread the day it runs out! I definitely recommend you give this a try if you haven't already!
My last beauty favourite is a new bath bomb from Lush that was part of the Mother's Day range, it's the Rose Bombshell bath bomb. This smells amazing, it smells pretty much exactly like the Rose Jam Bubbleroon and shower gel and this is probably my favourite scent that Lush do. This is such a pretty bath bomb, as it fizzes rose petals burst out and it's filled with oils that are great for your skin as well.
Time for my non-beauty favourites now, my first favourite is a new candle and although I have more than enough candles to last a lifetime I treated myself to the large Yankee Candle in the scent Vanilla Cupcake. If your not a fan of sweet, sickly scents then this is definitely not the candle for you but sickly, sweet scents in candles are my favourite! This smells amazing and makes me want to bake cupcakes and eat vanilla butter icing all day, I may have to stock up soon as I've already burned half of it!
The next item is a style favourite and specifically a pair of shoes I have not been able to live without since I bought them, it's the Adidas Stan Smith white and navy trainers. These have been a life saver when I went to London, they're the only shoes I have that don't rub me and they have been so comfy to wear walking around London. They go with pretty much every outfit, they're great for dressing down smarter outfits and this is my favourite way to wear them. If your thinking of getting a pair you definitely should, they're a great investment and will last for so long and they're that type of shoe that looks better as they wear.
My last favourite is a book favourite, it's the book Women in this Town by Giuseppe Santamaria who is a photographer, art director and fashion enthusiast that has filled this lovely book with street style fashion photography from different places around the world. This book looks at unique and stylish women and features interviews with a few of them, this book is great for outfit and style inspiration and I love flicking through this when I've become slightly bored of my clothes and when I want to revamp my wardrobe. He also has a version called Men in this Town, I love this book and will continue to re-read it, you should definitely have a look into this book purely because some of these images are amazing and it makes me want to go and travel ASAP!
